Orginally from the Russian Family of Markov, Demitri was born the youngest son of the late Baron, and was never set to take over the mantle of the baronship, as he had 7 older brothers ahead of him. So Demitro went to america to study chemical engineering. Little did he know that the small rebellion on his fathers Land was stirred up by the Tsar himself in order to rid himself of the Markov Family. The rebels succeeded. When demitri heard the news he was so devasted that he dropped some of the chemicals he was working with. The chemicals combined in an unforseen reaction and granted Demitri the ability to manipulate pure energy. Demitri took his revenge on the tsar and then styled himself the new Baron Markov, taking over his family lands and titles. He returend to Paragon city where he continued to fight agaisnt corruption so like the tsar's.
