Born into a gentried old world family with a long unbroken history of distinguished military service, Oriana was raised to revere the best aspects of chivalry and knighthood.  When she was chosen by the Oros to be granted a connection to its vast cosmic energies, she decided to take that power and apply it not for personal gain, but as a noble defender of the peace. Her firm stance against the injustices she sees in this world is tempered by her natural gentle demeanor, which has not been diminished by the often martial role she takes.
