Where the hell am I? And why is it so cold?

The researchers had been working on producing Kinetic Meta-Human abilities in human subjects. This laboratory was proof that they failed. So frozen were the contents of the entire lab that it took Dayla Byir almost 6 hours to break through the sealed doors with her magical fire. Upon reaching Idris she found the source of the bitter cold: it was him. The research team had turned him into a type of energy converter, sucking up all the heat energy around him, transferring it back into raw kinetic force that was pushing out from him.

She wrapped him up in her magical warmth and a serum from SERAPH was brought and applied, to contain his power. Dayla & Belina pulled some strings and he was given a suit of containment armour that DATA had been field testing. Since then Idris has not returned to the Byir estate to work the fields, but has chosen to stay in Paragon City and learn control of his new talents.
