Character Bio

Mortimer Chance always had an unhealthy love of all things dead. He natually went into the funeral business and it was there he caught the eye of Lady Malidy, a practitioner of dark magic. They fell in love and she began to teach him how to control the dead and the forces that surround them. It was on his wedding night when he came to his love and strangled her. He knew he could never marry anything living. She lies motionless, cold and silent on the other side of the bed where he sleeps everynight. Mortimer says this isn't any differnet than most other marrages. His borthers and two uncles where killed during the war but Mortimer brings them back from the dead to help defend him as he pursues his life of evil.
