Dr Emmanuel Thomas is an expert in the fields of theoretical quantum physics and robotics. For over a year, he has aided the heroes of Paragon City by supplying them with access to his latest inventions and scientific procedures, augmenting them through various radioactive bombardment and supertech gizmos. He has been content in this role from behind the scenes, never really believing he can make a difference.

Now, however, he finds himself in a sticky situation.

It started when his neighborhood came under attack by some thugs hyped up on a bizarre alien drug. A few novice heroes were on the job, but the big guns all had larger matters to attend to. He could not idly sit by and watch his home be destroyed, so he donned his experimental power suit to help deal with the attacks.

Unfortunately, the police took his actions to mean he was a new hero in the city, and registered the pseudonym he gave them with City Hall. Now he finds himself on the front lines of the war on crime.
