Character Bio

Karen Johansen was a grad student at Berkeley in engineering, bored with the math and physics, she decided to focus her research skills into the occult instead. She learned about the Circle Of Thorns and their cult activities, and commenced to frequent the woods rumored they could be found at. As luck would have it, she managed to observe a CoT ritual, and took copiuous notes. Then she went to many libraries to learn about Gods, Devils and Demons, so that her ritual would have a deity of sorts to be focused towards. One moonless night at a nearby park, Karen sacrificed a huge ram, and performed the rites flawlessly. To her surprise a Devil from the underworld materialized and granted her the powers she now possess, but not before a few hours of intense passion had transpired amongst the two. As the devil left he said: "I give the a name, thou shall be known as Jocastia; use your powers to satisfy yourself and your hungers. Karen never returned to Berkley to finish her studies...
