Character Bio

Ephie (short for Ephebius) was dragged into a war when he was only 12 years old. Having spent most of his adolescent life being used as a pawn by the leaders of the Netherworld to get at his mother, he had to endure frequent and long stays in the deepest reaches of the Underworld, sometimes as bait in a trap, sometimes the trap himself. Finally his mother sent him away to live with relatives on a different continent in the hopes of sparing him.

This lasted until his foster family was killed during the Rikti Invasion of earth: being entirely normal human beings they were unable to protect themselves, Ephie however had picked up some tricks on his extended stays in the Netherworld. When the smoke cleared Ephie returned to his true mother, Dayla, only to find she had headed off to Paragon City after her daughters. His father, Camberth, kept him back for a month or two, training him to control his newly released powers of darkness.
