Character Bio

David Payne was always a shorter the everyone else while growing up, so he resorted to building up his body to compensate. While in high school, he was constantly teased about being so well muscled, but still quite short. After several stints at different Boy's Ranches for fighting, David decided to travel the world. When he was in Central Asia, He found a Cave with wierd writings & images on the walls. As he was searching the cave, David came apon an Ancient tablet made of metal that was warm to the touch. David left the Cave with the tablet and journeyed back to Paragon City. After being caught in the crossfire of a battle between CorpsMan and the Tsoo, David was Exposed to Massive amounts of Radiation. Upon returning home, He picked up the tablet and fainted, he felt it melt into him as it laid on his chest. When David awoke, he realized that he now had the same powers as CorpsMan, and all those who teased or angered him would now face payback at the hands of Payne Scale.
