"Wake UP, young lady!"

Patience refused, pulling the covers tightly around her. An insistent hand tugged at them, slowly unraveling her to the early morning.

"I was having the best dream." Patience rubbed sleep from her eyes. "I was floating in the sky looking down at people and if anyone was unhappy I'd sprinkle a summer shower on them like the ones that make rainbows and they'd look up at me and smile and everything'd be all right."

"Well, my little ?Rain? cloud, if you don't get out of bed this instant, I will turn into a thunderstorm and zap you out," her mother chided and left the room.

A small cloud formed over Patience's head. It crackled, causing her sleep-tangled hair to stand on end. She yawned and the little cloud disappeared.

Her father found a job at a store called Icon and today they were moving to Paragon City. The City of Heroes. A city where she would finally be able to use her special talents. Without her parents knowing, of course.
