Character Bio

Sinjin Stringfellow Smythe, a promising graduate of West Point joined the US Military and quickly found his way into the ranks of the army special forces and then into Delta where Smythe distinguished himself on several occasions. Smythe's actions eventually came to the attention of Malta who recruited him and furthered his training, Sinjin proved an able operative, but he quickly grew tired of the group's activities and allowed himself to be captured. Incarcerated in the Zig, Sinjin faced daily harrassment from the inmates who had either faced Malta or had friends captured by Malta. The PPD stepped in and offered Smythe a deal, Join its shadow operation Department 7 (otherwise known as the "Heavies") or end up face down in the Zig. Sinjin reluctantly agreed to the deal but found the work just as distasteful since it was just like Malta's . Again Sinjin fled, but this time he found common cause with the super hero team known as the Justice Avengers who made a deal with Department 7 to have Smythe on loan.
