Life for Marie Berry had never been difficult. As the heiress to a multimedia empire, she was used to the privileges that accompany wealth. But Marie was unlike the many spoiled brats that make the tabloids. Her father, Gordon Berry, had always impressed upon her the need for integrity and hard work. Gordon was born poor and spent his life making sure his family never had to endure the hardship and privation of growing up poor. He always reminded her that everyone can use some help at times and those that could help, should help.
Marie personified that moral strength and vowed that she would always lend a hand to help those in need. If life is rough, the Ebony Jett will be there.
