Justin Lee had just gotten out of Highschool for the day and arrived at a secluded part of the beach for some surfing when he discovered an alien lifeform lying on the sand. Realizing that it was dying he attempted to try and save it. The entity, Kaliyantar, reached out and explained that he needed a host to survive. Justin, not wanting to let, Kaliyantar die, said he would be the host. Justin was amazed at the new abilities he suddenly had and set about learning to use them. Once he had a basic understanding, with Kal's agreement, he registered to become a superhero.
