Thalia Phillips, aging party girl, raddled by drugs and hard use. One bleak morning after, faced with the stark image of her now-faded self in the cold mirror, she prepared to hang herself. Even as the breath of life left her, she flung out one last desperate plea: if God, any god, would give her eternal youth and beauty, she would do anything--anything. Her pathetic prayer was answered by the only deity she had ever really worshipped through her wild years: Dionysus.
