Character Bio

Betty Anne Grables was in the habit of eating at her local Chinese restaurant any time she got depressed. She thought the "More Won Ton" soup on the menu was a misprint, and it was actually their Wor Won Ton soup... boy, was she surprised! It was hot and spicy, and very very tasty, but after leaving the restaurant she felt faint... the next morning when she woke up, her skin was green and she was glowing slightly. As weeks went by, things around her began to burst into flame, and people near her got weak and their hair fell out. The doctors who were running tests on her identified a mutagen in her bloodstream that they felt was the cause of the changes. While they're working on an antidote, Betty is using her powers in Paragon to fight crime. Her now-exotic good looks also have modeling agencies pursuing her, so she's enjoying the spotlight as well. What a far cry from the small town librarian she used to be!
