Character Bio

Victoria Gardener wanted to help with the war effort in any way she could--buying war bonds, collecting scrap. But her real genius lay in gardening. To say Vicky had a green thumb would be putting it mildly. Her backyard 'victory garden' was the envy of the neighborhood. She spent hours in her little shed, perfecting various combinations of chemical fertilizers, rooting hormones and secret herbal concotions. Her plants responded in surprising ways. Suddenly she realized she could help with the war effort, and Vicky and her amazing flora joined Allied Force. Recently Allied Force was brought forward in time by a magic rite, but Vicky and her friends still perceive themselves as living in 1943.
