Once a young loyalist to Lord Recluse in the Arachnos Training Program, Sam Synthos was an up-and-coming recruit.  His dreams of becoming a hardened, vicious criminal and trusted confident to -the- Lord Recluse were fast becoming a reality.
Sam's training was cut short when fellow trainees and instructors attempted to do him in one night while he was sleeping in the Arachnos Dorms.Months passed. Finally, Sam awoke in the Longbow Hospital in the Agincourt base.  Next to him were Sister Psyche and Manticore. He was told ... well, shown via Sister Psyche's mental projects ... that his attempted destruction was done so on the orders of Lord Recluse after the Arachnos mystics alerted Lord Recluse to the fates intertwining between Sam and Lord Recluse.Sam reentered the Arachnos Training Program under an iron-clad identity set up by Longbow and the Freedom Phalanx.
