Alan Jeffries envied the superheroes, and so he pursued ancient Wiccan rituals looking for a rite of transformation to help him achieve his goal of fighting crime. When he beseeched Cernunnos for powers to help mankind, he was warned by the god against false pride... so in order to gain his powers, he had to kiss the hind end of a white hind that walked out of the otherworld... he's now swift as a gazelle and the sound of his cry strikes panic into the bad guys... but he still can't get the taste of gazelle-butt out of his mouth, no matter how much mouthwash he uses.
