Model-turned-actress Jennifer Garrison had it all: talent, beauty, money, and fame. That is, until the day a deranged fan kidnapped her from a commercial set. By the time the FBI and a band of superheroes tracked her down and freed her, her face and body had been horrifically scarred and ruined. The best efforts of plastic surgeons and of supernatural healers were useless - her modeling and acting career was over. Jen Garrison spent her fortune constructing a suit of powered armor and began working as a hero in Paragon City. She was quickly recruited by Freedom Corps' elite Star Patrol, with whom she has worked ever since. For most of her career as a hero, the Leading Lady has used armored masks (or at least a veil and sunglasses) to hide the worst of the scarring. As she has grown into herself as a heroine, and found friendship and acceptance among her fellow do-gooders, she has grown to accept the scars as a part of herself - without them, after all, she'd never have become the hero she is today.
