Character Bio

Michael Atkins was a scientist working on cutting edge technologies for Vanguard. He was enlisted to a covert program in which he would be working with former top Crey scientists who had defected from Crey. "Project BlueLight" was originally intended to drastically improve the self-sustaining chain reaction of nuclear fission as well as to eliminate the radioactive waste that the process creates. Unbeknownst to Vanguard, the Crey scientists were double-agents stealing the technology they were working on. When Michael discovered the Crey plot, he was kidnapped and taken to a Crey facility deep in Eden. Crey scientists experimented on Michael by repeatedly exposing him to different types of radiation. Over time the radiation mutated and evolved his DNA which left him twisted and disfigured, but he realized that he could produce fire and radiation. Once he was able to control it, he escaped the Crey facility. Now as Ultraviolet Blaze, he looks to protect the citizens of Paragon City from all threats.
