Character Bio

Ard is the descendent of the legendary Irish assassin Ardreiltagh. Ardreiltagh disappear along with his magic blade while trying to complete the Trials of Atlantis. The Circle of Thorns realized Ard?s heritage and captured him to try and claim his sword. The hero Zapping broke up the ritual before it was completed, however the partially completed ceremony had an effect, Ard can now summon the sword on command and is learning to use its magic. He?s made significant progress, almost as if some otherworldly force was helping him along, perhaps an ancestor.

There has been some speculation as to whether Ard may have previously had ties to Paragon City. Nothing conclusive has been proven, but his work with Vanguard and apparent relationship with various heroes has raised some suspicion.
