Millenia ago, those words were spoken by the Elder, before retiring under the mountain. The stories of dragons kidnapping maidens were based in truth - but the maidens were rarely actually kinapped. Instead, some few, faithful families, friends of Dragonkind, let their daughters mate and bear Dragonkin.
Even now, sometimes, descendants of these meet by chance, and a trueblood Dragonkin is born....
