But for as long as these demonic creatures born of the yin self have existed, there have also been those who hunt them and protect innocence from their corruptive influence. Of these makai kishi, their greatest lineage is descended through those who uphold the title of GARO. These knights don suits of mystical golden armor and carry weapons forged from soul metal, whose supernatural strength and resilience is derived from the willpower of their wielders.

The current heir to the title of GARO is a young but intense man named Saejima Kouga. Having sworn to uphold his father's legacy with strength and honor, he is now tasked with the duty of protecting the unknowing public from hidden horrors that even now seek to consume them.
