The pace of the drummers, as they increased the tempo of powerful pounding beats, would spur on the samurai charge until they crashed into the enemy with force overwhelming. This man, having taken the traditions of taiko to heart, has realized that its thunderous rhythms were not only used to drive armies forward, but also to drive away evil spirits as well. It is natural then, that he decided to drum not only for the harmony within himself, but for the harmony of good hearted people around him who wished also to stave off the darkness of the times upon us.
