Energy Master entered Paragon City for the first time on May 16th 2004 and became a Hero of the City on January 27th 2007.
Energy Master and his son, Energy Scout have been heroes for over 60 years now. They are not human and when their ship crashed on Earth they died, only to be reborn as beings of energy capable of taking human form. Both have said nothing of their lives before they came to Earth or where they are from.
