Character Bio

Tessa was a leading vulcanist before the invasion; she was always looking for newer and better ways to get closer to the magma, and had developed an array of personal gadgetry that let her delve ever deeper into the molten earth. She was floating in molten rock collecting samples of high-temperature solids when the Magmites overran her base camp, killing everyone she knew and cared about. She starting altering her equipment - a force field tuned to negate waves of heat could also distribute them, and she'd long ago found ways to broadcast her power from a remote source. With probes deep beneath the earth's mantle and broadcast stations throughout Paragon's crust, she had an endless well of heat to play with, and she started to hunt - Magmites, Pumicites. Into the hollows to chase them, and the fight led to the Trolls and Circle of Thorns who got in her way. The police she met there told her of a wider conflict and a greater good, and she became a heroine for all Paragon City.
