Character Bio

Sylvia Roderick traveled far and wide to various casinos, never staying in the same spot for very long. She was constantly on the move with rumors of her success following close behind. One day, though, she decided to linger around the same place for quite some time. Soon after familiarizing herself with the locals, she had established her repertoire and simply became known as 'Deuces'.

Deuces was there the night that Anthony Barret, one of the regulars, was approached by a mysterious figure. She was quite intrigued, and decided to watch and listen from a safe distance at the bar. The two men had been in deep, secretive conversation, when Tony had abruptly got up and came over with a very confused look on his face. Sylvia immediately grinned at him and said, "Two jacks, huh?" Tony was quite taken aback about how she knew what had happened, but then she winked at him and said, "It's a gift, I know," except he didn't know that statement also had a double meaning until discovering his powers later.
