Albert Nathan Raimi is the "National Capital", a Canadian superhero hailing from Ottawa and a special government official appointed to maintain the Northern Watch initiative. Although it is his goal to reinstate the Watch's presence in the City by helping superhuman Canadians find their place in the world at large, his job doesn't bar him from helping all people feel safe.
He once wore a pair of gauntlets that held an advanced tesseracting shield. However, consistent exposure to the metal they were crafted from - determined to be of alien origin - caused Albert's physiology to change. He now uses his abilities to generate and control "impact energy" in his continuing tenure as a hero.
