There is a soulless entity that haunts the realms of man.  It is known by many names: the Scourge of Light, the Terrible Reaper, the Anguished Spirit, and That Which Watches.  All refer to the same demonic spirit: Azan Darque.None still live who can remember this malevolent entity's origins.  There are those who say it is a wrathful spirit unleashed by the mages of Orenbega in their war against the Mu.  Others speak of a tragic magus who was possessed by the very forces of darkness he sought to control.What is known is that where Azan Darque treads, misery and despair soon follow.  Plants wilt at its approach, animals cower, and the cold sensation of inevitability is left in its wake.
