As a child Norbert had no friends...he was a geek. All he had was his Television, which he watched constantly. During this time he became obsessed with Batman. Not the cool Tim Burton Batman, rather the campy 60's TV show. He was particularly enamored with the villains.
As a result, he began to alter himself in their image. Minor changes at first: green hair, bleached skin. Then the radical changes...he actually performed a cranial elongation on himself, in order to look more like EggHead (portrayed by Vincent Price) without anestetic. This procedure altered his mind....cutting into your skull without any training has a tendancy to leave one a drooling idiot, but not in the case of Norbert Finkelstein. It unlocked a true criminal genious.
By elongating his skull, the brain grew to accomodate the extra space. The extra brain capacity produced greater intelligence and lower regard for the law, human life, and society in general.
