Character Bio

You'd figure being an errand boy and electronics handyman would be a
reasonably safe job, even here in Paragon City. There I was, doing repairs on
some lab equipment a couple of bright boys couldn't be bothered to maintain.
Then the Rikti attacked. My employers of the moment got the *wonderful*
idea to jury-rig some of the equipment into a proton accelerator. It seemed
a good idea at the time, the lack of shielding worried me a bit, but trying
to run away through a battle zone worried me more. They actually got two
shots off - that's two more than I was expecting (I thought they'd just blow up
the equipment). The only noticeable effect of the blasts were the retaliation.

When I woke up in the hospital, the doctors gave me the good news - I didn't
lose any body parts. Then they gave me the other news - I had a latent metagene,
apparently activated by the unshielded equipment or side-effects of the Rikti
blast. It could have been worse, I suppose - and was for many.
