Character Bio

Victor Syde was just an average guy who went from day to day just to make ends meet. Unfortunately, the Circle of Thorns kidnapped him for a ritual in which they were trying to bind a Darq, an incarnate of vengeance, to one of their soul stones. Victor's part came to fruition and he was sacrificed, but what the Circle did not take into consideration was the power of the Darq and was unable to hold the incarnate to complete the ritual. The Darq possessed the body of Victor and rose to exact vengeance that his soul cried for. Darq escaped to Paragon City where it soon learned that it could not leave the body. It had appeared that the binding part of the ritual worked but to Victor's body. Also in a surprising twist of fate, Victor's conscience seemed to still reside in his body as well but only as a voice of reason allowing Darq to understand this new world around him. Taking of the mantle of DarqSyde, they set off to dispense vengeance to the wicked.
