Character Bio

The Kheldian Quar came to Earth to fight the Nictus, and was successful on his own for a time. But he was wounded in battle, and though the recovery powers of his kind saved his life, he knew that he had nearly died. To augment his power, he searched for a human partner. Seth was a deeply religious young man. At only 20 years old he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, but he maintained that it was the will of God, and refused to be discouraged. His faith and relentlessly cheerful attitude was admired by all who knew him. One of Seth's volunteer activities - helping victims of various villain attacks, including Nictus - brought him to the attention of Quar. The two soon became fast friends. When Seth's body began to fail, Quar proposed that the two merge, restoring his body and making them powerful enough to take on the Nictus. Seth agreed, and surprisingly his deeply held religous convictions manifested themselves in the appearance of wings - like the angels he so admired for their closeness to God.
