A fascination with science can turn into a dangerous thing.

Ruby was always interested in lightning, and she would be the one standing out in a lightning storm watching the different forms strike the earth. One day, there was a beautiful sunset capped with raging clouds, and Ruby went out to investigate, as she always did. What she saw was truly amazing - a single bolt of a reddish pinkish lightning striking the earth.
Or maybe it didn't strike the earth.

There's something about being struck by lightning that can change the way your brain works. All the brain does is send electric impulses to your body. When that electricity changes, no one can tell what may happen, how the person thinks, how they respond, who they interact with, and what they want to do with their new found power.
