Character Bio
Being born and raised in the Soviet Union in the 60’s, Dimitri Vasiliev was a product of the cold war. During his schooling it was noted that his superior mind gave Dimitri the ability to easily control people and these characteristics attracted the KGB (Soviet Secret Police). Upon graduation, Dimitri became a KGB agent. As one of the KGB’s top field agents he made several trips to America where he discovered small groups of “Heroes”, selfless men and women with extraordinary talents, not unlike his own, who had dedicated their lives to making the U.S. a safer place. When the Soviet system collapsed, Dimitri now unemployed decided to go to America, find these Heroes and volunteer his talents. To his great surprise, he was welcomed with open arms and given the training he required. Upon completion of this training, Dimitri adopted the name “Tovar” a shortened form of “Tovarishch” the Russian word for friend and based on his inherent talent entered Hero Corp as a natural Controller.
