Mender Zeal doesn't like to let on much about himself, how he came to be Entrusted with the Secret, or where he learned to cast such powerful dark magic. Anyone who speaks with him would find it clear he has a fair bit of expertise in the field of time travel stretching back long before his involvement with Ouroboros - but besides that he's been places and times that most can only imagine, he isn't saying. Mender Zeal possesses a strange sort of amorality: He dedicates himself to the prevention of disastrous events and the protection of the world's status quo, but if there's anyone whose personal safety he cares about, it certainly isn't you.
