Character Bio

Salem, MA - 1921. She was a simple schoolteacher then, and one of the strongest believers in "Knowledge is power" you'd ever meet. That philosophy was her greatest strength, and with it she taught the responibility to resist the temptations that knowledge can bring. She archived lore of all kinds, storing as much of it as possible in her own memory in case any records were destroyed. Thus, Miss Catherine Reilly left the life she once had and remade herself, no longer quite human, no longer quite mortal, sustained by pure, ancient wisdom, as Beata the Dove.

In her new, semi-divine state, Beata was able to continue extending her life using ancient, forgotten lore, so as to be able to continue eternally her quest for knowledge. She is drawn to places where the birds she named herself for congregate - or perhaps they follow her. The only allegiances she claims are to good and the spread of enlightenment, and she tends not to attach herself for long.
