The Dolls were originally created in a lab outside Paris, designed to act as battlefield medics. During combat the field hospital was hit with at EMP blast wiping out a whole platoon of medical bots.

There is no way she should have survived, but most of her systems were operational, but some where altered.
The tools that were once used to help injured people were altered and became offense weapons. Her ultrasonic diagnosis implants had their output multiplied by 1000's and now inflicted sonic damage at range.

Living Dead Doll is hiding out in the Rogue isles, avoiding government agencies that want to examine the changes and use them for military purposes.
