Character Bio

Amber's mutation was discovered as a teenager, but it was born from a childhood accident where she was exposed to radioactive minerals in her father's laboratory. While initial tests showed her completely unharmed, her still nuturing mutation had absorbed the radiation into her body and her heart became a source of endothermic nuclear reactions.

Time passed as her heart became a nuclear reactor and Amber, unconsciously keeping her own still developing body from being poisoned, began emitting degrading gamma particles in her wake. Upon this discovery her father put his remaining time to the creation of a suit that would allow his daughter to safely vent the radiation and in time help her control her chaotic power, before years of unwitting exposure took his life.

Following in her father's footsteps, Amber became a scientist and learned to manipulate her own radioactive energies to new levels at a whim, making her one of the more dangerous heroes in Paragon City.
