Character Bio

Jason Thomas' abilites became known at an age where most children only had to worry about school. When he was 13, he got into a fight and his powers unleashed themselves in a deadly form. He was rescued by the police and Hero Corps and went to a special place where he could learn to control his raging powers. When he became of age, he left and became a vigilante, wishing to use his powers to battle the forces of evil. He went under the tutilage of Paragon City superhero Redwing, and the two formed an unstoppable duo. In his early 20s, the Rikti invaded Paragon City. Thinking themselves invincible, they rushed headlong into battle. Metal's body was destroyed and Redwing barely escaped with his life, thinking Jason dead. Jason was found barely alive by Crey employee Theresa Diaz. She secretly took him to her lab and rebuilt his body using Crey biotechnology. Now Heavy Metal is back on the streets of Paragon City, but his robotic exterior makes him an outcast to even his mutantkind.
