The A-1000 unit was a prototype heavy combat droid developed by the Paragon Police Department. Its sophisticated programming was marred by a glitch in one of its failsafes, eventually leading the A-1000 to develop self-awareness and sentience. However, its police protocols took precedence, resulting in the A-1000 retaining strong ideals of justice and conduct. The PPD was persuaded by Statesman to allow the A-1000 to operate as an individual, and it has been fighting a solitary war against injustice and villainy ever since.
RP description: The A-1000 unit appears to be a large, older-model PPD heavy combat droid with some modifications, most notably a great deal of Impervium armor plating. It stands barely six foot tall, but weighs nearly three tons. It now answers to the name 'Arney', given that name by a fellow member of The Jadewire.
