It had, of course, been a trap. Killing her or discrediting her would work just as well for the Nictus - Voidbane and her group had been a thorn in their side for years.
The fake Cysts were far more explosive than usual. She realized her error too late as the cavern was brought down around her - destroying the school and municipal buildings far above her as well.
The Kheldian leadership disbanded her group and put her - restricted in her power use - on probation, under the eye of the HB Squid Squad, to share her knowledge as she learned restraint, to ease her crusade against the Nictus into something more focused. Resentful at first, she grew to love her new group as a family... and let the Nictus know their battle wasn't over yet. Not by a long shot.
