Cold... so cold... After the attack, that's all she knew. The cargo plane she'd been sent along on crashed in the antarctic, miles from the research station. The chemical tanks had ruptured from the explosion, filling the compartment with an unknown cocktail...
She walked. She froze - but she lived, found by an Arachnos security squad. The Fortunata leading it had provided the last key to her powers, awakening them as she came close, becoming the first to fall to them. She took the helmet as a trophy, and made her way back to learn who had attacked her - and get revenge.
