James stopped, he'd been with Crey for years, more than he cared to remember.
Noises from above told him that the research facility was under attack.
Suddenly a voice boomed over the loud speaker system.
'Rikti forces in Sector 2.'
Suddenly an alarm sounded.
Again the voice called over the din 'Cryo Containment Unit breached. Research Protection Protocol Gamma One Activated, All Personel Evacuate the Building, All Personel Evacuate the Building.'Just as he was reaching the stairwell an explosion thundered through the halls, anyone caught in the hallway was frozen by the Cryo Toxin being carried on the air.
James however, was affected differently, the Cryo Toxin merged with his DNA his body temperature dropped and his heart rate slowed.
He deep froze a door and smashed through.
Later he discovered that Crey had set off the explosives early in an attempt to cover up the evidence of civilian experimentation.
He was expendable, unfortunately for Crey he now had the power to get even.
