Character Bio

The only girl in a family with five children, Erin Maguire's childhood ended when the Rikti destroyed her home and she was separated from her family. After the war, she discovered that her parents and three of her brothers were killed, but the other, John, was missing. When her family's home was rebuilt, she returned home and waited to see if John would do the same.
When John did return home, he wasn't who she remembered. During the invasion, he had fallen in with a group living in Paragon City's sewer systems. He said that his time with his new friends had led him to join with the Rikti. As Erin refused to listen to his preaching, John became violent and attacked her; minutes later, John was dead.
The courts cleared Erin of any wrongdoing in John's death, but the violence that had once again shattered her family shook her to the core. She swore that no other family would be destroyed by the rising gang warfare in Paragon City if she could help it. And with that, she became the heroine Plactine.
