Character Bio

Marc Slocum should have died with his friends. He didn't.

Marc doesn't remember much about the car accident. He was in the backseat of his best friend's BMW, his girlfriend on his lap, flying down the highway. There were six of them, all smoking pot and drinking beers and laughing. Next thing Marc knew, he was pulling the broken, scorched body of his girlfriend from the wreckage, his own body on fire but not burning -- unharmed. Marc's mutant powers had come to life, and from the ashes of his self-centered and carefree life, a Phoenix was born.

Motivated by survivor's guilt and a faint curiosity about his own mortality, Marc has thrown himself with gusto against the nastiest criminals of Paragon City.
