Character Bio

Serai found a piece of blue obsidian in a cave; a stone with a sheen that shifted and moved. After carrying it with her for months, she noticed a dark, misty glow surrounding her image in the mirror. The same eerie blue-black glow of the obsidian she had found. She buried the stone, only to find that by morning she was in pain and could feel the stone calling to her. Retrieving the stone, the pain faded. She took it to the Legion of Valor, where scientists ran tests on the stone and her body. They found that the stone was connected to the Netherworld, and was drawing power from that plane into this one. Serai’s lengthy proximity to the stone had changed her cells until they, too, began to pull negative energy through. Her skin began to mimic the stone’s color and they surmised that every moment she kept the stone, the stronger and more infused with negative energy she became. But without it, she would die. Her Legion-made suit helps her control the energies. And thus Blue Obsidian was born.
