Character Bio

Makaria was the result of a magical experiment by the necromancer Nuruhuine. In an effort to push the boundaries of his necromantic knowledge, Nuruhuine created a ritual that allowed him to bind the soul of one dead person into another dead person's body. He invested a considerable amount of power into this experiment, for he intended the result to be completely independent and autonomous. The experiment was in many ways a success. The resulting creature, Makaria, is powered by her own persistent undead energies, and she does not require any input from her maker. Indeed, she is totally autonomous, and although she seems to bear him no ill will, neither does she serve him. After studying her, he released her into the world to do as she would. She made her way to Paragon City, where she was found and taken in by another undead hero, Dying Embers, who considers Makaria the daughter of the underworld, come to punish wayward man.
