Character Bio

An accident in a Crey laboratory allowed a captive gorilla with experimental
mutations to escape. It damaged many of the holding pens, killed several Crey
employees, and required three Paragon Protectors to subdue. This was a small
setback for Crey's Animal Assistants program. It was a big change in one small
captive's life.

A very young white Bengal tiger named Catspaw was released by the gorilla's rampage and was assumed to have been killed in the chaos that followed. She was weak
and frightened after having been subjected to experimental serums and advanced gene therapy. She found the warmest place she could to hide - the always warm interior of Crey's Mutagen Chamber.

The next morning a Crey researcher noticed life signs in the Mutagen Chamber
and assumed that his specimen had been delivered early by the lab techs. He
activated the Darwin Process and unwittingly subjected the little tiger cub to an
untested procedure which was designed for a much different organism.
