Character Bio

Cynthia Li bonded with Umbral Light while he was fleeing Void Hunters. The intense nature of their desperate flight from the Council's soldiers brought them closer together faster than most warshades. They agreed to call themselves Autarch as a symbol of Umbral Light's rejection of the Nictus and his bid for freedom. Unfortunately, their flight was all too brief. Council scientists tortured Umbral Light vigorously. Aware that Cynthia would be slain when the Council was finished destroying him, Umbral Light put forth what remained of his will to violate the teleportation shields around the Council death camp and place Autarch outside their clutches. The cost was terrible: Umbral Light's conscious mind. He still exists, but in a vegetative state. Cynthia can feel his power inside her, but his presence is dead, along with his memories of previous hosts. Cynthia now has only his power, the memory of his friendship, and his final words: "Use my power better than I have."
