Character Bio

Doctor Susan Blake's experimental Dark Matter Chamber was damaged during the Rikti Invasion when Rikti technicians raided Paragon University's science building. The Chamber exploded, showering Blake and the Rikti raiders with dark matter and the nanobots Blake had designed to manipulate it. As a result of the explosion and the ensuing power surge through the Rikti's link to the Dark Matter Chamber's computer, the nanobots' AI was exposed to Rikti technology and science. For unknown reasons, the nanobots took refuge within Blake's shattered body and began to modify themselves and Blake using the orphaned dark matter as their raw material.

After her miraculous recovery, Blake learned that she could manipulate gravity and kinetic energy. Finding in the hero registry that many better names had already been taken, she dubbed herself Doctor Inertia and took to the streets in pursuit of justice.
